Time management game changer ?

I realized that a really efficient way to get things done is to use the alarm clock feature on my phone alongside planning tasks on my google calendar. I can plan my time on my google calendar, and then create an alarm for it. I make alarms for when I need to get ready, leave and which activity it’s linked to on my alarms. For some reason, I don’t think the reminders on my google calendar/ apple calendar have the same effect as this other powerful combo. This combo has been really helpful by adding more structure to my day to day and keeping me accountable with my time management and arriving on time.

The downside is that I have to make a routine of adding these different alarms to my phone every night, however, it makes it so much easier to just go about my day the following day paired with my cues for when to do events I had already planned.

It vaguely resembles how the structure was in high school – students are directed on a basis of a planned routine that is signaled to with a bell. You are given five minutes to change from activity to activity after the bell has sounded. It’s honestly a reasonable way to run things, I have never researched if it was really efficient but it organizes the day much more for lots of students and this idea for a system resembles this high school system in my mind just much less strict.

I’d love to hear what you think, feel free to comment or contact me if you are interested in discussing this further :).
